Challenge
The Chiapas Project is a microfinance program for women in Latin America started by Lucy Billingsley and the Grameen Foundation. The goal of this piece was to capture the beauty and craftsmanship of the textiles that the women create and to portray the honest joy and integrity that this program has brought to these individuals' lives. This was accomplished through engaging photography; rich, bold color; and polished type. The cover is a textured sheet with the feel of canvas that perfectly captures the spirit of the textiles.
